Samsung released it’s One UI 7 in late January 25. The roll out of updates can take some time to reach all devices as this is staggered. The One UI 7 update brings with it many changes to the look, feel and functionality. Including a change to the nofitications and quick settings panels, which are both now seperated.

The default setting in the new One UI 7 seperates the quick settings (left) and notifications area (right).
Samsung’s customization of Android 15 follows a similar layout to alternative phone brands, designed to provide more space for quick settings and notification panels. If you’re missing the combined panels like I was—especially as a right-handed user who finds quickly viewing notifications awkward with one hand—you’re in luck! The old-style notification area can be restored.
How to combine One UI 7 quick settings and notifications
Step 1:
Open the Quick Settings panel by swiping down from the top right side of the screen and Tap on the Pencil icon

Step 2:
Choose the Panel settings option

Step 3:
Tap Together. Then Tap the Home or Back button.

Step 4:
Enjoy the familiar combined notification and quick settings panels!

To revert to the new default Together setting One UI 7 brings, drag down from anywhere at the top of the screen 2 times, tap the Pencil and choose Seperate.
