By default, Android saves your screenshots to the internal storage/DCIM/Screenshots—but what if you want to store them somewhere else? Whether you’re trying to free up space, organize your files better, or use an SD card for storage, changing the screenshot save location can help. In this guide, we’ll show you how to check and change where your screenshots are saved on Android, and what your options are depending on your device and Android version.
This is only currently possible if you are using a Samsung device running Android 13 One UI 5.0
Step 1:
Open the Settings app > Advanced features > Screenshots.

Step 2:
At the bottom of the settings screen you will find the Save screenshots in option. Tap it and you will be able to select a new folder or create a new folder to save your screenshots.

You can also change other useful related screenshot settings such as Hide status and navivgation bars or Delete after sharing from toolbar.
Now that you’ve changed where your screenshots are saved, you might also want to brush up on how to actually take them—especially if you’re using a new Android phone. Check out our step-by-step guide on How to Capture a Screenshot on Android.
